This hack as a whole makes it a far easier and reliable way to play this spinoff. It even retains all the original easter eggs present in the PC release, such as the level designers initials, and the complex level design as a whole. Hudson Soft really reconsidered a lot of features/mechanics in this game, which makes the gameplay experience radically different when you compare it to Super mario bros. I would definitely play this again if I somehow stumble upon it.
This hack effectively gives out that "Links Awakening DX" polish to it. It effectively adds colors in all the right areas where it should be instead of relying on those standard GBC color palettes. I am also a big fan of the custom sprite work, since it really makes the character a lot less smaller/square compared to in the original. To put it all in summery, it's made just like a faithful retail remaster that the pros at nintendo would make!
To be honest, I have played Earthbound many different times, and I am proud to say that it was effectively the first game I have played which effectively got me into trying out other jrpgs. With this hack in place, I think that it'd take an hour or two out of my next playthrough, and take a lot of early game grinding out of the picture as a whole. Awesome!
The most "mari0"-styled hack out there, with the most freeform level designs that are a breakthrough from the usual format. The only downside, however, is that the pacing is entirely linear with a complete lack of sub-areas apart from the obvious underground/underwater ones, thus making side pipes useless and no vine blocks to be seen at all. Some maze levels would also work well in this format. Just imagine being able to exit through different X and Y positions... Regardless, still a demonstration of great technical ability of the tile-based format.

This is by far the most technologically impressive romhack to hit the NES. Utilizing the MMC5 chip in every way possible, this game boasts flawless physics, seamless horizontal and vertical scrolling, and music that takes full advantage of the MMC5's capabilities. The physics have been completely redone, making the control of Mario feel more accurate than ever. Puzzles and rooms are well thought out, providing the optional challenge of collecting 101 moons along the way. With enough practice, anyone can obtain the immense satisfaction of completing some of the more insane puzzles, requiring you to do wall jumps/wall grabs and conserving stamina and dashes. At a point, you start to question if its actually a romhack or a homebrew. Simply amazing.
This Software is handy sure, but it has a bug in which all files are associated with it by default. I'd honestly recommend using a dedicated IPS Handler and a dedicated BPS Handler if you need this enough not to use rompatcher.js Although if you do use this you shouldn't really need another tool for creating patches for your hacks, I'd get the latest version of xdeltaUI alongside this.
Best SMB1 ROMHack there is, its as if SMB1 was made with the vision of SMB3. As if your dreams of "what SMB1 could be" was manifested in front of you. The graphics are taken from other NES SMB experience, and the occasional asset custom, the Music is the only thing lacking from this which could have been cool. The custom controls and QOL features fit so well it could have been a feature Nintendo implemented for another game. A classic, orthodox, traditional SMB1 ROMHack experience made by a veteran in the traditional pre-ASM SMB1 ROMHack field. Considering the limitations and the culture behind its creations its effectively, reasonably, uncriticizable .

Unfortunately this is one of the best SMB3 hacks there is, jokes aside this a neat ROM to have on an everdrive and is overall quite a neat ROMHack, however there is nothing new in terms of content here so its true enjoyment is ultimately found solely in convenience. Regardless, the Menu and Intro screen is also incredibly well made - more than the original All Star's screen for sure. If you have a Flashcart or Pocket Emulator etc... I would highly encourage downloading this.
Maybe a little out of place, but i seem to always misplace this emulator when i need it. it plays WinCE so yeah, pretty cool for being 10 years old.
